About the project
Migration information centre (MIC) “I Choose Lithuania” objective:
Returning back to one’s country of origin after an extended period of time spent abroad is not easy. Upon arrival people face a lot of practical questions and have to adapt to a changed environment.
MIC “I Choose Lithuania” employees, using the method of single point of contact, provide consultations to those Lithuanian migrants who are returning, those who are contemplating a return or anyone wishing to come to Lithuania. MIC provides information about education, the labor market, healthcare, foreign family member integration and other questions related to returning and living in Lithuania.

MIC “I Choose Lithuania” activities:
- Following the method of single point of contact MIC provides consultations to returning or those who are thinking about returning Lithuanian migrants and their family members. You can call us either 8 800 22922 (free of charge in Lithuania) or +370 52 51 43 52 (when calling from abroad) or reach out via the internet (skype: Migracijos informacijos centras and e-mail: email@example.com).
- The website is regularly updated with relevant information related to returning to Lithuania:
- In order to provide quality and effective consultations MIC established a connection network with the representatives of institutions, governmental, non-governmental and business organizations that are related to migration. The wide network allows to answer questions faster and when necessary – direct people who are seeking information not only to a relevant institution, but to a specific employee.
